The Volvo FM is a heavy-duty truck that is well-known for its fuel efficiency, manoeuvrability and safety features. The FM is designed for high productivity which makes it a great choice for fleet managers specialising in long-distance drives.
The FM is equipped with a whole range of safety features including electronic stability program (ESP), lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise control, rear reversing cameras, and anti-corrosion treatment.
Additionally, the Volvo FM offers multiple axle configurations including 4×2, 6×4 and 8×4 which allows for different load capacities. In terms of power, Volvo uses the D11K, D9A and D13 engines which produce between 300 and 500bhp.
Volvo has also launched an electric version of the FM which is powered by an electric motor and battery pack. Charging times vary between 2.5 to 9.5 hours depending on the power source and this provides up to 300km in range.
